Our Thinker-Tinker apps are run on iOS 6.0 and up, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and up, and Amazon Fire OS 5.6.4.0 and up.
Octobo is compatible with mobile devices up to 8 inches. For the best experience, we recommend using a 7-8" tablet, like the iPad mini or Amazon Fire (7th Generation).

Nope! Octobo connects to your device via Bluetooth automatically. Wifi is not required in order to enjoy the play experience. However, you will need Internet access to download the app from the app store.
Octobo is very easy to clean. We handpicked his custom, hypoallergenic fabric, which has very short fur and is therefore easy to wipe clean. Because Octobo has sensors in his body, we do not recommend soaking the plush in water.
According to Android developer guide for bluetooth, we must require user's fine location permission. Namely, when using bluetooth, Android thinks we are able to get location information from the use of bluetooth, so we have to ask for permission no matter what. However, we can assure you that we do not collect any location information.
iOS doesn't require location permission when using Bluetooth.
To make Octobo work, he needs 4 AA batteries. You can find his battery pack under his back tentacles. We recommend using high-quality, rechargeable batteries to extend play time.
If you have misplaced some of the storykit tokens, please email help@playoctobo.com and we will work with you to replace the lost storykit materials.
Octobo Tip:Â We suggest storing tokens in Octobo's battery pouch! We have intentionally constructed Octobo to have additional space in the battery pouch so you can keep tokens or his extra leaves in there without worry of them going missing.
